USS Abraham Lincoln docks in Thailand after record 250 days at sea

The carrier left San Diego last November on a six-month assignment but was diverted to the Gulf after US and Israeli operations against Iran began. Concerns have been raised about food shortages, broken toilets, and mental stress among the crew, with the Navy acknowledging tough conditions. Thai authorities have restricted crew access to certain areas like Soi 6 and cannabis shops, and have deployed police to prevent overcharging. Local businesses hope the sailors will spend money, and both countries hope the crew will be refreshed before departing on September 6.
