Türkiye Signs Artemis Accords as 71st Signatory
On Monday, August 31, 2026, the Republic of Türkiye signed the Artemis Accords at NASA headquarters in Washington, D.C., becoming the 71st signatory. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman hosted the ceremony, and Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır signed on behalf of Türkiye. The signing underscores Türkiye's growing space capabilities, including its first astronaut's 2024 ISS mission and upcoming lunar mission AYAP-1.
