Tel Aviv begins irrigating Yarkon Park with treated wastewater
Tel Aviv Municipality, in partnership with Ganei Yehoshua company, Mei Avivim corporation, and Mekorot, announced the start of the operational phase of irrigating Yarkon Park with treated wastewater. The 'Yarkon Redemption' project, approved by the Ministry of Health, will use dedicated infrastructure and a reduced tariff approved by the Water Authority. The switch is expected to save hundreds of thousands of cubic meters of potable water each year while preserving the largest green lung in the Gush Dan area and returning quality water to nature.
