Strike disrupts flights at Kenya's main airport for second day

A nationwide go-slow strike by aviation sector workers in Kenya has disrupted flights at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi for a second day. Hundreds of passengers are stranded, with some spending the night at the airport. Kenya Airways reported delays of over six hours and has cancelled some flights due to industrial action by air traffic control workers. Talks between unions and airport managers broke up without agreement on Sunday, with new talks scheduled for Monday. The strike stems from unresolved concerns over working conditions and implementation of a previously agreed deal. Other airlines, including RwandAir, have also cancelled flights. The airport is a key regional hub, handling about nine million passengers last year.
