Poland opens terror probe into fire at drone factory

Poland's National Prosecution Office announced on Monday that it has opened a 'terror' probe into a fire at the WB Electronics factory in Skarzysko-Kamienna, which supplies drone components to the Polish and Ukrainian militaries. The investigation covers 'participation in the activities of a foreign intelligence service directed against the Republic of Poland and for a terrorist offence, consisting of deliberately causing a fire on the premises of the WB Electronics factory using a device containing flammable materials'. The fire broke out shortly after midnight and was contained by firefighters in two hours. The Internal Security Agency is assisting police. No further details were released due to confidentiality. Russia is widely suspected of running sabotage operations across Europe against facilities supporting Ukraine. This incident follows other suspected sabotage events, including the detention of a Russian citizen in Warsaw and an unexploded drone found at a German airport.
