Israel Health Ministry warns public against suspended doctor Michael Yanko

Israel's Ministry of Health has issued a rare public warning that Dr. Michael Yanko, whose medical license was suspended for 15 years in December 2025 following a criminal conviction for aggravated fraud and a disciplinary procedure, continues to provide mental health consultations, including opinions concerning children and adolescents. The ministry emphasized that the suspension remains in effect and that all medical opinions, certificates, diagnoses, treatment recommendations, or documents issued by him are invalid and will not be recognized by official bodies, courts, medical committees, government ministries, health funds, educational institutions, the IDF, the National Insurance Institute, or insurance companies. The ministry urged the public to exercise caution and ensure that medical advice and documents are provided and signed only by authorized professionals with a valid license to practice medicine in Israel.
